Getting it Done

I'm getting there, I see the light.
I've made some changes and now it's tight.
'Twas touch and go to make it right,
but I think it's now okay.

This poetry stuff can be a bear,
especially in challenges where
the rules are tricky beyond compare,
and it's easy to go astray.

Some forms say rhyming is required,
while others say only if desired.
But as long as I feel a bit inspired
I'll tackle it either way.

Success requires toil and sweat
to see one's challenges be met.
But we'll all do just fine, I'll bet,
and make our hard work pay.
