I'm a new writer, although I have been writing my autobiography on and off for a few years. It is pathetically short right now, I once lost two composition books full of my life story. After that I switched to writing on laptops. Unfortunately I lost several of those as well with a lot more of my story on each. Now I live a 'normal'-ish life so I may just finish it one day. As far as fiction though I am very new. I got addicted to reading when I was in Afghanistan about five years ago. Since then I've read like it was my job. Mostly fantasy but a bunch of other random stuff too. Now I've got the itch to write my own stories. We will see.
