thorns and roses

take a thorn to the heart,
the wound it bleeds eternal,
it cannot heal.
the thorn it stays forever,
digging deeper.
the fights formed the thorn,
they caused it to stay,
stuck forever, causing pain,
exhausting, taking over your life/
but along with the thorn comes a rose.
the rose was formed by all happiness,
everything right in your life.
only the rose can remove the thorn.
it can smooth the thorn's jagged edges,
easing the pain, making life easier.
unlike the thorn,
the rose causes no pain.
insead, it makes everything
in the world feel right.
but even the rose cannot undo the damage
caused by the thorn.
