I was the shy girl. Here's my story.
Shy girl
I was always the shy girl in school. I didn't talk at all, I was always quiet. I was quiet from when I came to Florida to about 8th grade. I was always quiet and I hated it. I didn't like not being able to laugh and have fun with friends. I always had friends but I never talked much even around them. I didn't have a special friend that I could be myself around and tell everything to. I've never had that. I've had "so called" best friends, but I never talked to them. This went on 8th grade when I really loosened up and started being more talkative. It was my last year in middle school and it was one of my best years in school. I finally had friends that I could have fun with and I was in a school that I had gone to for 3 years. So I wasn't looking for my classes. But the most importent of all I was at the top of the chain, the highest grade in middle school. It was a great feeling to be at the top. It seemed like everybody knew your name. It was werid to see that people had "heard of me" when I had always been the one watching from the sidelines. I had been the one who "heard" of people. When 8th grade ended it was not a nice feeling. It was like you had just gotten to the top and then you had to leave all of it. When the last couple days came around we had an 8th grade dance and it was the last time I got to see everybody in my class. Of course not being the outgoing type I didn't dance at all. It was an emotional night, one of my friends who had gone through a lot through the year finally realized I wasn't going to be there for her to lean on. I think she was in shock because I had been there for her through it all. When I saw her crying I was going to comfort her but before I got there my "so called" best friend walked in front of me and comforted her instead. To me this was rude because she had been fighting with this girl since the middle of the year and I was the one who helped her not my "so called" best friend. It was times like this when I think how long I had been friends with this girl and had she ever gone behind my back and said something. I haven't been very lucky with best friends. But when I left middle school and I entered high school. I met my best friend. I met her in the lunchroom while I was sitting at the table a seat away from her. She was talking away and I was quietly eating my lunch. When she finally noticed I was there she asked me to scoot over and I realised that she was in my French class. Since that day we have been great friends and she watches out for me. She's kind of like an older sister because she's in the 11th grade and I'm only a freshman. So I guess the moral of my story is that if you have great friends and they support you. You can come out of your shyness and laugh right along with them.
The end
