A poem about imperfections in love
Imploring
Certainly I am not perfect
          or even close
Our world can never reflect
          the utopia I would choose.

Please do not cast blame
          for my numerous faults
With neither time nor space can tame
          and simple foolishness exalts.

Would that I could fix it all
          for your sake and sanity
With courage I can not recall
please, forgive me for my vanity.

Simple verse can not express
          my gratefulness to you
The love for me that you bless
          which before I never knew.

If you must, charge me for
          my sins, great and small
But love me still, I implore
and I'll love you most of all.
