I'm paralyzed with fear. I'll live forever, but... (Sleep Paralysis)
From the pressure on my chest,
I'm awake, can't you tell?
I'm awake and alive.

I can't move.
I panic
I start to hyperventilate.

I tell my toes to move
but they won't listen...

I try to get my fingers to move before it's too late.
Mama, I'm here, why can't you hear me?

Don't cover me up Daddy, I'm not cold
and I'm not sleeping!
I'm wide awake.

Help me move brother,
Tell them I'm alive.
Move my toes,
Touch my leg.

Help me,
I'm paralyzed with fear.
I'll live forever
but I'll never move again.

I'm scared, Mama.
I remember the verse you taught me.
Whenever I'm afraid, I say,

"I will both lay me down in peace
and sleep for thou, LORD,
only makest me dwell in safety"*
It's working Mama.

My feet are moving!
Mama, Daddy and Brother,
I'm awake.
Talk to me

I'm blinking, Daddy, can't you see?
You can see!
I can move Daddy.

Can I have breakfast now?
