Why do you think
that everything's alright
when it's not?

Why do you act
like you've never seen this side of me
when it's been impossible to hide?

Why do you insiste
on breaking me to pieces
when I would have broken, had you asked?

Why do you believe
that I am untrustworthy
when I have never told a lie?

Why do you assume
that I am not affected
when you mock me in public and kiss me in private?

Why do you try
to change me
when you say I'm perfect as I am?

Why do you struggle
to stop loving me
when you know your love is all I need?

Why?
