we all need to be accepted (revised)
She was just a little girl trying to belong,
curious about the differences between right and wrong.
An innocence surrounding, that made her seem pure,
letting others forget the terrible deeds done before.

She was twisted in such a way no one seemed to accept,
however they were suspicious of all the secrets she kept.
They frowned upon her promiscuous way.
They ridiculed her for running astray.

Poor little strange girl, crying in sadness,
what was it that drove her to all this madness?
Longing for her parents to care,
could that be what brought on all this despair?

Selling her body to feed her addictions,
never having any restrictions.
Poor little strange girl, look into her pale blue eyes,
there is such an appalling history that lies.

She needs to be loved and protected.
She is weary of being loathed and rejected.
The sun never shines on her withdrawn face.
She made her home wandering from place to place.

Many years she has felt invisible and alone.
Her confusion and sadness has only grown.
Poor little strange girl, can you hear her plea?
"Please God, let someone love me."
