Why can't we all just get along?

Why can't we all just get along?
There always has to be somebody to mess things up.
To be too power hungry.
To want all the money, all the land and all the control over EVERYTHING
If they had all these things would they even be happy?
No i'm not talking about fake happiness..the kind you feel from material posessions.
I mean real true happiness.
The kind you can't buy.
It's the way you feel when you do something nice for someone.
Or the happiness you feel after puting lots and lots of time and work into something and then being proud of your accomplishment.
The answer to that is no.
Why will we continue to never be satisfied with what we have?
To fight and oppose each other till our dying day.
Can't we all just learn to appeciate what we've got and just be content with that?
