Forbidden Love
He gazed at her, a star so bright,
A dream beyond his reach of sight.
A goddess in a mortal's land,
His heart entwined within her hand.
Though leagues between them, love did grow,
A forbidden flame, a dangerous glow.
A love so pure, so deep, so true,
A love forbidden, yet he knew.
He yearned to touch her, feel her near,
To whisper secrets in her ear.
But societal chains bound him tight,
A love condemned, a hopeless plight.
Yet still he loved, with all his might,
A love so pure, so burning bright.
A love that dared to dream and soar,
A love that would forevermore.
