Writing.com celebrates
They were writers, clogged on the same website. Yes, Writing.com!

They wrote, reviewed, read, ate, drank, and napped while they were busy online.

Tom was a moderator, a blue case, always helping people with technical questions.

You should think he was one of the happy ones, with a grateful audience. But he wasn't. He had discovered long ago that the only way to survive life and the site was using nitrous oxide aka laughing gas in a balloon.

Addicted and depressed he began this year's birthday week at the first of September.

That morning started as usual. But within a few hours after using the gas he felt the change.

His brain. His brain was slipping. Slowly he felt the juice inside his skull evaporate via his ears, seep onto his shoulders, draining into thin air. Till it was gone.

Brainless he only could function on autopilot.

And Artificial Intelligence had reached the writer’s community. Things would never be the same.
