The Elixir Of The Future

They had found the place that the elixir was stored. The elixir would grant them the power to see the future. The plan was simple. Break into the vault, (there were no guards.) pick the locks and dismantle the security cameras, and finally, take the elixir and calmly walk out, with the precious elixir in their hands.

They entered the vault. "Mia? Do you see any lasers?" Asher said. Mia with her incredible cat eyesight did in fact see some lasers. But, as nimble as a cat, was able to barely slip under them and dismantle it, making it safe for Asher to walk by. The rest of their plan worked perfectly. They got to the elixir in no time.

Mia took the precious bottle of black liquid. And high five'd each other. "That was actually kind of eas-" Asher wasn't able to finish sentence because a voice in the background started talking. "10, 9." Said the voice. "Is that a- Mia we have to get out of here! NOW!" Even without talking to each other they both understood what was happening. A bomb timer was counting down. They rushed around a corner...And another one. "6,5." said the voice. They slid under a door that was closing on top of them. "4, 3." Right before they got out Mia got stuck in some tangled wire. "Mia! Noo!" Asher rushed back and tried to untangle Mia. "2, 1." At the last second Asher got Mia free and held her to his chest. "0, KABOOOOMM!" Their ears ringed, but they were fine.

Asher looked at the ground. "Nooo! The bottle smashed!" Said Asher. "We went through all that for nothing!? A "BUUUURP" Came from Mia. "Mia, did you drink the elixir before the bomb went off?" Said Asher. Mia just smiled.
