Self-Harm Awareness ! <3 |
The morning you wake up with swollen puffy eyes Your mind convincing you lies Crimson scattered throughout your arms and wrists Thinking of alternatives that you missed A bloody knife sitting patiently at the rim of your bed Room as dark as night, but there's a tiny glow of led Then as you lay there for a while You finally, Start remembering what happened last night Your mother bursts into your room She quickly realizes the gloom When she realizes what you've done It reminded her of when she was young She sits on the rim of your bed Resting her soft palm on your head "You're not alone I promise" "I know it doesn't seem common" "Last night you may have fallen" "But as you see, you had friends calling" You look down at your phone Seeing messages that were left alone Hot tears start to form in your eyes The room is then filled with your cries Your mother's warmth submerges the cold Making your broken heart fold With each tears fall, You hear God's Call. You are not alone, help IS available. I know it may seem it like your alone--and no one cares, but there are people who can help you! If you are not feeling safe, or need additional help please call the National Suicide Hotline for more support. Contact them at: 988. |
