A personal poem for me for this is a tribute to the loss of my grandma in 2013.
Wait for Me

Woe perched upon my heart on that fateful day,
As I gazed into those fragile pools of fading light
My soul weeped as your eyes were trying to say,
It was time for you to drift off into the pleasant night.

Wait for me.

Selfishly my heart yearned to cling forever onto you,
Alas, thou once young, vibrant soul aged with time.
Heavy burdening was it to set you free this is true,
Yet I believed waiting for you was an eternal life sublime.

Wait for me.

Now as the seasons steadily change from year to year,
This heart of mine beats with calmness with memories of you.
For the day God took you home, my eyes shed a soothing tear,
In the vision of you venturing upon a delicate ocean of blue.

Wait for me.

Memories of you as my grandmother I shall always treasure,
As I know with God, you are enjoying a life of simplest pleasure.

Wait for me.
