What are the pros and cons of using mechanical vs wooden pencils and which do you prefer?
The pros and cons of using a mechanical pencil:
The only pro that I could come up with is that they don’t need to be sharpened. T
The con would be the tiny lead that you have to feed into it from the top breaks as you twist it to drop down.
The pros and cons of using a wooden pencil:
There are several pros when using a wooden pencil. First and foremost they are smoother on paper than mechanical ones. You don’t have to press hard, especially with some wooden ones to write darker. The only con is that you do have to sharpen them with a sharpener which can be very therapeutic.
I am a wooden pencil kind of gal. I love the Ticonderoga Pencil, #2, Soft lead. It is such an easy tool to use and the smooth barrel and ease of writing make this pencil one of my lifetime favorites.
