Contest Entry - Writer's Cramp 12/26/22 - Breccbairdne, water
Precipitation

I love this winter,
Temperature dropping,
Gray clouds release snowflakes,
Some wish it was stopping.

Holidays coming,
Stars on trees are glowing,
I got a white Christmas,
Now wish time was slowing.

New Year comes swiftly,
Resolutions flowing,
I can’t help but wonder,
Could it still be snowing?

Spring will soon arrive,
Snow drifts will be melting,
Grass will begin growing,
Music of birds belting.

Summer brings sunshine,
Thunderstorms and raining,
Drip drops flow down windows,
Wash off sidewalk paintings.

Vacations taken,
The beach by the ocean,
Mowing the grass weekly,
Fountains set in motion.

My heart lies ahead,
Fall and cool winds breezing,
Tree leaves to see changing,
Waters will be freezing.

Snuggled warm inside,
Outside may be sleeting,
Hot cocoa to enjoy,
Sets my heart to beating.
