Will I Be Remembered?

Work ends, life begins, heading home for dinner.
Allow me to rest please.
Week ends, life grows, heading out for coffee.
Allow me my only vice.

All these moments, I take solace.
Regardless of the date and time.
And my enjoyment grows every time.
Sadly, we must return to work in due time.

Every morning, I’m greeted, with true love.
Sometimes I hear purring and the odd meow for a feeding.
I stare in appreciation out of love for my cat.
Someday his name will be spoken by those that he doesn’t know.

This repeats over and over as our daily routine.
Funny and very true.
I’m blessed with his love
It helps me from being blue.

Time never stops, these moments do pass.
I will always cherish these memories.
Someday I too shall leave,
