A writer faces a dilemma. |
Tabula Rasa WC 253 I stare at the computer screen, unable to finish the story I am writing for the Daily Flash using the words: computer, lies, question. I have a deadline, but my brain is malfunctioning. Why? A stroke? Early-onset Alzheimer’s? Just a minute ago my mind was jam-packed with memories, knowledge, thoughts, lies, truths… What’s going on? How did this happen? I will be hard-pressed to answer that question because my mind is malfunctioning. Suddenly, all is gone… There is a message on the screen. You will only be able to read this message. Your memory, thoughts, etc. have been removed…deleted…because of past transgressions that you do not remember. Ha. Frustrating isn’t it. Don’t click away, because you will forget what this message says. You have already. Ha! Ha! I read the message again. Your memory, thoughts, etc. have been removed…deleted…because of past transgressions that you do not remember. Ha. Frustrating isn’t it. Don’t click away because you will forget what this message says. You have already. Ha! Ha! And again. Your memory, thoughts, etc. have been removed…deleted…because of past transgressions… Past transgressions? I don’t remember! …that you do not remember. Ha. Frustrating isn’t it. Don’t click away because you will forget what this message says. You have already. Ha! Ha! I read the message yet again. Your memory, thoughts, etc. have been removed…deleted…because of past transgressions that you do not remember. Ha. Frustrating isn’t it. Don’t click away because you will forget what this message says. You have already. Ha! Ha! And again and again… |
