Finding a unexpected family member.
I must have been in my teens, though I can't remember at this point in my life. The thought just lightly touched my mind, like a butterfly on a flower. I was in the car with my mother in her four door, Ford Probe. We going to pay the gas bill. I don't remember a cloud in the sky. My mom had decided to put the money in the account slot outside the building. While my mother was pushing the bill into the slot, I heard crying nearby. My mother's car was the only car in the parking lot. When my mother got in the car I told her what I heard outside. She listened, and also heard the cry. The cry that both of us heard was a kitten that someone had thrown out. The poor kitten, was hiding in the bushes from predators and would not come to us, no matter the pleading. Both of us had soft hearts, so we went back home and got the kitten some food to hopefully get kitten to come out so we could look after the poor thing. We got back to the bushes with kitten, and did thankfully get what turned out to be he, out with the food we bought him. The kitten was orange and white tabby. The last owner (we ended up keeping the kitten), before throwing the kitten out, damaged his teeth. I know most people would say how lucky the kitten was that we found him but we were the lucky ones because that kitten was one of the sweetest pets(with the worst breath) that I had the pleasure to known.
