A want to show you everything
… I know it's not enough
A need to tell this soul to sing
So muted in it's bluff

To bring it to the table when
I've got no goods to trade
To write a script more able when,
a story can't be made

Where note books hold the pieces
Of my thoughts, so scattered round
The night offers releases
Where the truly lost are found

Found and lost forever
In a universe of noise
Lost amidst the ether
Out of balance, lacking poise

Worried for the way they're viewed
Despite the times conferred
We might care less if just we knew
How seldom that we were

… and if you don't know where you stand,
then maybe move along?
… or maybe play the only hand,
cards weak, with shots too long

Dealt cards that just can't be planned
… and too many I lack
Busted out in no man's land,
with jokers in the pack

Gambles I could never win
Despite the chances shown
With memories lost on the wind
Driven hard, and blown

Rewritten from familiar stings
Presented in a bluff
