A little inspiration :)
To be a writer you have to know what to say, you have to have something that you want to tell the world. So, what's my thing? Right, well... I... I... I don't even know! So, what does that make me? A fake? A beginner? Great!

I mean I care about a lot of things. Gay rights, starving children, domestic violence, the homeless. So why can't I put that into writing? I want to make a difference in this world, but I don't even know where to fit in. if I can't even fit into this world how can I change it?

You know when you get a job interview and they ask you what your dreams and ambitions for the future are. Yeah, I leave that blank too. I mean I know what I want to do, I want to be an actor, more than anything in the world. But after years of being told that's never going to happen, I gave up. I mean let's be realistic here, I don't exactly look like one of them people on a really cheesy American film. I wouldn't ever make it.

But that's not what you want to know, that's not what this competition is about. You want to know why I want to write. Well, I want to write because the paper is the only place I have a voice. The only place I can write down my true feelings and unload the anger I keep built up inside. I can be the real me, the me no one else gets to see.

But I also like making up a new me, a me that I wish I could be. When I write I can be whoever I want, travel anywhere I want, create a new family, pretend I actually have friends. The page is limited to your imagination. If you have a large enough imagination, the possibilities are infinite!

So yeah that's why I want to write. Maybe this response won't win first prize in your competition, but I know what I want to be, what I want to say. And you helped me to realise that so thank you. Thank you for inspiring me with one question, one simple request has led to me discovering me.
