The world rejoices! Spring's arrived;
the winter's cold has gone.
Once more my spirit is revived;
darkness has fled the dawn.
The poet's words find voice, at last,
as future overcomes the past.
The poet's words. The poet's words
no longer in the darkness cast.
The world rejoices! Spring's arrived;
a gentle rain begins
to feed the earth so long deprived;
to wash away my sins.
Its rhythmic beat imbues my words;
they soar among the clouds and birds.
Its rhythmic beat. Its rhythmic beat
that's only felt but never heard.
The world rejoices! Spring's arrived;
Imagination hears
the music all around, contrived
for just the poet's ears.
Life's melody now fills the air
with gentle song like silent prayer.
Life's melody. Life's melody
to which we move, though unaware.
