We found different type of love. But we many of us do not know all love comes from God
It was a special occasion and I wanted to go home to another district town to celebrate the occasion and to meet my ailing mother, wife and daughter.
My office was dismissed two hour early. I could have caught a bus and started journey for my home town. But it was unknown to me why I was very tired and feeling not to move anywhere.
I came direct to my mess room deciding to move tomorrow for home.
While lying on bed in bid of having a brief rest I realized I should go to bus stand and buy a ticket in advance.
The sun has already set and the dark unfolded its canopy all over the world. But the place was one of the urban areas nearby capital city of the country and blessed with the grace of electricity one of the wonderful inventions of science. Under the light of hundreds of bulbs the outer view seemed really full of galore and charms and the time was a piece of attraction for me to be out.
I was heading towards bus stand. It is not so far. Distance can be reached by anyone within 15 minutes if he or she takes a normal and slow walk. Probably I reached within 10 minutes as I walked a bit fast.
At Bus Stand: A huge number of people thronged all around the bus stand area which I could not imagine even a few minutes ago. I tried to guess the reason behind coming of all these people to this particular area. Frantic movement of them from one ticket counter to another one gave me a clear understanding that they were home goers or it can be said that they came to catch their home bound bus or buy tickets.
As capital city of the country and a place of all government, non-government and NGOs, mills, factories and industries people came here from different parts of the country for doing jobs or some kinds of works to maintain livelihood and most of them have to leave behind their families at village homes.
This may be one of the main reasons behind their tendency of going home seen on every occasion especially on Eid-ul-Azha and Eid-ul-Fitr.
But why are so many people on rush for going home today? I thought.
Soon I found the reason.
Reason was three off days. 26 March, the independent day of the country and declared holiday by the government and prior to that Friday and Saturday, weekends. They want to spend these three days with near and dear ones back at home.
What can it be termed?
Nothing but love.
Love is one of the excellent attributes of human beings which people show in different ways and different situation to different people.
Parents love their children and children love their parents. Wives love their husbands and husbands love their wives and the same thing happens to a boy and a girl.
We see for love people do sometimes what initially seems impossible.
we know what Chandi Das did for Rajokini, Dev Das for Parboti, Farhad for Shiri and so on.
Even in essence of every religion we see unfathomable love of God for His creations.
In the book of John 3:16 of the Holy Bible of Christianity we see "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life".
Every Christian and even many non-Christians know how brutally Christian God died on the cross of Calvary. How much blood He shed, How agony He endured and how passionately He suffered for all the sinners of the world!
While I was remembering love of God especially love of Jesus for human beings one more thing came to my mind that is Jesus Christ not only died on the cross but resurrected after three days and went to Heaven to prepare/build eternal houses for us (John 14:2-3).
Have we ever thought that the house is eternal and built by God? Have we ever thought that someday we would go there and live for ever and ever?
Shouldn't we take preparation?
