introducing some of the thought process behind my concept |
}PAINTING THE PICTURE SHORT JOURNEY As the human species proceeds through the first stages of life from newborn to toddler, there brain begins to rapidly grow. Neurons get bigger and began to work more efficiently allowing them to make trillions of other fine tuned connections from environmental input and stimuli. These connections include the development of the senses, which is why I believe neurons holds one of the keys to unlocking what human consciousness really is. As a human continues to grow, a process known as "pruning" takes place. It is this process that will determine what connections develop for the species and which ones die and are forever lost. The pruning process begins when specific connections used more often are then made stronger, while ones less used or less stimulated die. An example of these connections in which most all humans will be left with, are language. This process is why reading out loud or singing with your young child are so important. I believe it is this very process at this stage, in which allowed man to evolve as they did, being able to learn and share what was learned, regardless the complexity. After this pruning stage, the brain developed what is known as the frontal lobe, it is because of this development man could begin to weigh risks and make decisions. The very process's in which makes the human brain the processor it becomes, will eventually begin to, in a way, reverse. This will be for a later subject, but it is why I am becoming more and more convinced that life's reality is but merely the development of being aware of. Upon death there is no brain function so therefore no awareness, so no awareness, we simply end as we begun.(to be continued) |
