At day break when the sun peeps through

When shadows of light beam between the trees

Before the morning new

Against a cold grey sky

Fluffy clouds go sailing by

The trees are dark and bare

Not a sound anywhere

And the birds have flown the nest

Mother Nature is having a rest


"Winter Come Spring." 

spring at daybreak

the birds will sing

On the trees buds will blossom .and petals

will fall like snowflakes.

Then bright leaves will spring

Little shoots will root

Daffodils and crocus look bright

Against the sun at day break

Mother Nature is awake.
