-An Answer In The Question-

An answer
In the question
Let me tell you
Friend
Fiend
Reach out wide
Open that mind
That narrow hole
Leading further
Deeper
Forever
Into your soul
When you’re dead
These ideas
Will remain
Like cement
Concrete
Common place
Burdensome at best
Relentless at worst
You’ll never forget
Even if
Your brain is gone
Rotted to dust
An answer
In the question
You’ll be asking
Dare I say begging
For a response
One that you
Can deal with
One ideally
That you
Could live with
Regardless of state
Despite all shape
Matter, turned waste
You’ll accept it
Once you hear it
You are both blind
And a fool
How could I know
Why should I
I just do
Because unlike most
All others actually
I’ve been asking
Pestering the one
Who knows better
And thus
He let it slip
Forgetting
For a second
Who he was
And his solemn oath
One sworn to protect
One sworn to defend
An answer
In the question
All of my days alive
I’ve been here asking
And now I know
Not made up
No exaggeration
Just facts upon stone
Thrown at my head
Driven into my mind
Resting
Upon my spine
I’ll share it with you
But where I place it
Will not be easy
You’ll have to search
The greater the some
The closer to the end
All will be rewarded
Between each seam
Is everything hidden
These may come across
As poetic nonsense
But in fact
Nonsensical
It what all of this is
Least of all
An answer
In the question
If you can find it
If you can live with it
Then I will certainly
Share it…
