What is to fear, to hope, to have faith?
Fear has a control on everyone. It drives us crazy, do unreasonable things, not risk for something better, make us stay in our comfort zone, hold onto something that is not there, and the list can go on. To face our fears and to conquer it would mean to finally have control of it. But do we really face it? Do we really conquer it? Do we have complete control of it? Or do we push it at the back of our minds; bury it in the deepest, darkest part of our hearts and let it fester, hoping it will disappear?

Hope. That’s another word that drives us insane. We do many things for hope, but is it all good? Who decides what we hope for is right or wrong, good or bad? One day, we hope to be rich, hope to be healthy, hope to find love and have children, or hope the next day is better than the previous one. At another time, we hope someone gets run over by a truck, hope someone suffers in agony, hope the rich would lose their fortunes, or hope that tomorrow would die with the rest of the world. See how hope can easily be twisted? Why do we hope when we don’t know the outcome? Of course, hope is driven by some type of feeling, belief and faith.

Faith is just as twisted as hope. We believe in something so much, put faith in it with all of our hearts without knowing the outcome. Maybe faith doesn’t need an outcome. Maybe it’s an infinite belief. And maybe faith doesn’t destroy us after all. But whose faith do we believe in? Is it really our choice or did someone put it in there for us? Faith is not a complete jigsaw puzzle where you put all the pieces together to make a beautiful picture. It’s an incomplete enigmatic puzzle where some pieces fit, others don’t, some are missing, and other pieces from other puzzles happen to be in your pile. Now that I gave you a visual on faith, can you see how twisted it can be? A scary thought, don’t you think?

Fear. Hope. Faith. When you are afraid of something, you hope it will be better next time. You hope until you honestly believe it’s true. Optimistic people would say it will come true. Pessimistic people would say it is unlikely. But who’s right or wrong? Questions will constantly arise and some may be answered; some questions, like fear, will be in the back of our minds, comprehended but never answered. Everything that is written here is not sarcastic at all. It’s just a few thoughts put into paper.
