How the prince became

My Crown
"But Mama" Young Anders called out "You promised me" he looked through the glass of the old pawn shop to see a shiny new crown with beautiful blue diamond encrusted around the border. "Now, not today sweetie. Me and your father are on a budget". Anders grumbled "Thats always the story it seems like" He flicked his tail and walked with his mom, looking back every few feet. Once he was home, he knew that crown was to be his. He gathered his piggy bank money and scattered change around his room and under his pillow "6..7...8" he slowly counted the change "8.50?! Ugh. I still need another- 7.50". He needed to do something.He laid down to rest, the thought of the crown still in his mind.

The next morning he had a plan. He was going to have to sell his bike. It was his favorite, but it was the only thing he owned worth more than a dime. He lugged the small red tricycle outside. Eye wide, he asked people walking by if they were interested, he got many "no thanks" or "no, i'm sorry". He was very disappointed. Right when he was about to quit, A lovely young mother and her little girl came walking down the street. "Mommy! Please?" She pointed to the bike. "Honey, thats the little-" Anders stopped her in her tracks "Actually its for sale. I'm trying to get a crown for myself, because I'm a prince". The mother looked at her wide-eyed daughter and then at the tricycle "Okay fine" She handed Anders 7.50 and he rolled the tricycle over to the little girl. He was so excited, he said "Thank you"and ran inside to tell his mother. "That's great, Anders. I'll take you to the shop tomorrow" That night he went right to bed.

He got his wish. The Crown was his. And now he is called Prince
