Answers on a Postcard

Here or there, there or here,
Stay in the sweet surround of certainty,
Plunge deep to the depth of the unknown,
Flip, flop flip, flop
The weight of indecision pulls,
Tied with gravity it drags.

The first step is salvation,
Salvation or regret,
Heart and head contesting,
Who will retreat, who will concede,
I know what I want but do I want what I need.

There are many implications,
Considerations to account,
Family, money, benefits,
Development, position and clout,
Sometimes it would be simple,
To be told what it is you need.

Changing can be daunting,
The thought fills me with dread,
Self-confidence lacking is my weakness,
Courage is my strength.
Decision time is approaching,
I have to get this right.
