A poem I wrote during a moment of doubt |
| My world turned from peace to calamity in about a nano-second. The sky ripped open, and my God poured out His merciful rage upon the earth. I was bewildered, confused, turned around. Driving in a veil of grey with the rain pouring down... I doubted a little, and prayed a lot. Shouted my praise with all that I've got. Jesus, be with me, I know I'll make it through. The worst that can happen, Is I will die and be with you. And then to my surprise...A road I knew was in front of my eyes... I knew where to go. Faith held my hand, through a moment in time that was anything but grand. I was no longer Alice in a wonderland, I was safe in my bed again. I will never forget that veil of grey, and how my Creator appeared to me that day. He gently said "Girl, you're screwing up. But I have hope in you, so I'm giving you another shot." His majesty appears in the strangest of places. He shows up with all kinds of faces. Lord, I submit. I won't challenge you again. Please forgive me for all of my sins. Thank you for everything that I have...Amen. |
