The Waters Fire

The fire burns,
the river flows,
the heart aches and the body yearns,
desire is on the ledge while love pushes you over the edge,
live in the moment don't think of what could have been,
even if it is in sin let temptation win,
light the candles and set the table,
pretend we live in a fable,
lets dance and laugh like never before,
open our hearts and let our feelings pour,
live like there's nothing more,
pretend we know not how to be afraid,
let compassion take the reins,
with lust being the driving force,
allow love to rise again and for us to be a must
the flame flickers while the rain trickles,
put on me one of those glass slippers,
let nothing interrupt us not a care nor a doubt,
our hearts are connected beating one rhythm,
only for you these marvelous feelings have risen,
simply put for a lack of better words.
