My Christian Life

Praises

I walked alone, unseen by all;
but you, Hallelujah, called out my name.
I did not hear then, yet I still lived,
scorned by summer, in barren land.

All my memories of that time,
Indeed, I was a lonely soul,
but -- have mercy on me--in those days,
You weren't often on my mind.

So how did we get to where we are --
a sudden moment, many years ago?
Hallelujah, I heard your voice!
And You were suddenly very close.

I confessed my sins and cried;
My tears flowed as Grace appeared.
"Come to me, you orphaned child,
No more loneliness for thee."

So we hold hands, unseen by all
You still, Amen, are ever close.
While, Glory to God, I still survive
and tip my face to tulips and fall.
