An Improv group goes on script. |
When Uncle John’s band of misfits decided to conform, a lot of people felt it was too far beyond the norm. For they were one brash Improv group beneath the Georgia skies. And now for them to go on script was Christmas without pies. It should be noted that John’s band performed in countryside. They shunned a roof above their head and liked to act outside. One time they did a parody of Beatle’s, “Let it Be,” atop a grassy knoll with a sugar magnolia tree. (The parody of “Let it Be” was twisted and arcane. It was about the value of a secret box of rain. And as a bait for robbery-- each cunning thief would try; instead of “Let it Be,” John’s band would bellow, “Let it Dry.”) But back to how conformity was now the band’s own choice. It was because the call came from an advertising voice. And even though some would announce, “friend of the devil, they!” within the eyes of Uncle John, things seemed to be okay. So with a script the band began, a product to uphold. And they were filmed, and right on cue they did what they were told. Then with a basic elegance, misfits were put upon, right up unto the point they felt the touch of grey Poupon. 40 Lines Prompt Requirements: --touch of grey --sugar magnolia --Uncle John's band --box of rain --friend of the devil |
