Guilt of an accident, devout love, heartwrenching emotional pain
When you look at me,
Do you remember all that we had?
Do you even think about those days,
Those long, love-filled days,
When you would look into my eyes and whisper,
Oh so softly would you whisper
'I love you',
In a voice that gives me chills to this day.
Do you remember?
Do you remember me?
I know you've had an accident,
And maybe you can't even hear me.
That would make me cry,
In fact,
I'm crying now.
The doctors say there's not much time...
But do you remember?
Please wakeup,
Tell me you love me,
Remember what you've done,
What I've done.
Do you remember the accident?
It was my fault.
I was speeding...
Nevermind, you don't want to hear it.
Do you remember?
We met on a ski hill,
Far from home,
And I accidently collided with you...
You helped me up and said...
Oh what did you say?
Why can't I remember?
That's right,
You said,
'If you wanted to talk, you could've just asked'
And I had laughed,
And we skied together the rest of the day.
Do you remember?
Open your eyes, please?
Your beautiful eyes...
Have I destroyed them?
Have I ruined you,
Your face,
Your memory,
Your hopes,
Your dreams,
Your body?
Have I ruined you with one stupid mistake?
Do you remember the accident?
I was speeding because I was angry...
I hope you don't mind me telling you.
I was angry with my mother,
Do you remember?
You were just trying to help.
But I turned on you and shouted.
I'm sorry I did.
It was only when I saw your look of horror,
And the bright lights across your face,
That I looked back at the road...
Why are the machines beeping?
What does that mean?
The doctors have asked me to leave...
Once,
Twice,
Three times now...
What's going on?
They took you off of the machines.
They look sad.
Oh no.
No.
No.
NO.
You're gone?
Are you really gone?
No, you can't be,
You're standing right in front of me.
Your hands are icey and transparent...
You are dead.
I killed you.
But before you leave,
You lean down and whisper,
Whisper just to me,
'I love you,
And I will always remember you.'
