It's time for the Sweetheart Dance! But will someone be dancing by themselves?
Author's Note: I believe the next chapter will be the last of this series. Enjoy! :)

Cho's POV

The WOMS Sweetheart Dance was in two days, and I still had no date.

I mean, SURE, plenty of boys had asked me. But I didn't want to go with any of them. The one guy I waned to go with was taken.

I was walking to my limo after school when someone stopped me. It was the quarterback of the football team. What did he want?

"Hey, Cho!"

"Hi. What's up?"

"I was wondering if you wanted to go to the Sweetheart dance with me?"

"I'm sorry, Brock. I can't."

He looked sad. Maybe I did want to go with him, but I just didn't have the heart to.

"Maybe next year?"

Brock smiled. "Def," and he walked away.

As soon as I got home and was safe in my room, I picked up my phone and dialed a number I knew by heart.

"Choice?"

"Hey, Dad!"

"What's up? Anything wrong?"

"I don't know. Things are hard but, you know, I'm pulling through."

"That's great! How's your career?"

"It's going awesome! I've gotten a bunch of other movie offers, and the album is going great."

"Good. You know, I have an offer for you, too."

"Really? What is it?"

"I just started a new record label, and I would like you to be the star of it! You could move over here to Philadelphia, get situated, and then I can make you even more famous then you already are!"

I though about it some. No one would miss me, right? I mean, my friends had turned on me, so there was really no point of staying. I could go live in the city, instead of my boring suburban life.

"You know what? Yeah, I'll come! Just as long as I get to come back and visit, though."

"Of course! I'll call your mother."

"OK Dad."

"Bye."

"Bye!"

I hung up and put my phone down. I was moving all the way across the country- to 'The City of Brotherly Love'!

                                                        ***

I put on a pair of jeans and my favorite red t-shirt and got in my limo to head to school. I was going to the Sweetheart Dance- yes, alone.

I could hear the music all the way outside of the school. I took a deep breath and went inside. There were people EVERYWHERE. I ran up the stairs, dodging different couples, and into the gym. It was even more crowded in there.

I casually just sat down on one of the love seats in the corner, sipping a bottle of cream soda. I looked around. There were couples dancing, eating, drinking, and- singing karaoke? I think I was the only one there only. Darn it.

The DJ stopped the music. Everyone groaned and booed. "Put the music back on!"

"Turn it up!"

"Come on, man!"

The DJ ignored them. He turned to me and started to talk into the mic.

"How about a song from WOMS' biggest star?"

Everyone looked at me and started to cheer me on.

"Cho! Cho! Cho!"

I smiled and stood up, taking my time walking up the stage. I handed my soda to a random guy and told the DJ my song choice. Then I closed my eyes and started to sing my favorite song. How ironic:

So you didn't show up

But my heart didn't blow up

I ain't gonna lose it all tonight

No I'm not gon' fight it

Totally excited

Just to be here underneath the light

See my heart is going

Bum-bum-d-d-d-d-pum-pum

Like a city never sleeps

And my head is going

Bum-bum-d-d-d-d-pum-pum

Turn it up and

Blast the - blast the beat

Dancing by myself

I don't need no help

Wishin' you were here

To see me

Dancing by myself

Got nobody else

But I don't really care

Believe me

Just keep

D-d-d-d-d-dancing

D-d-d-d-d-dancing

D-d-d-d-d-dancing

By myself

D-d-d-d-d-dancing

D-d-d-d-d-dancing

D-d-d-d-d-dancing

By myself

Everyone cheered. I bowed and ran off the stage, only to bump into Jake.

"Cho? That was awesome!"

"Th-thanks."

"So..."

I walked over to the love seat and sat down. Jake did too.

"Where's Crystal?"

"I think she's dancing with her friends."

"Most of her friends are guys, Jake. She's flirting."

"Oh."

We sat in silence for a bit.

"I'm leaving, you know."

"Again?"

"Nope, this time for good."

Jake stood up.

"What?! What do you mean 'for good'? You can't leave!"

"I'm moving to Philadelphia with my father. I'll be signed to his record label. And, plus, it's not like anyone's going to miss me."

Jake sat back down and looked me in the eyes. "I will, Cho. Maybe not Armani, or Jam, definitely not Crystal, but I will."

I think that's when I started crying. "Oh, Cho!" said Jake and he hugged me. I hugged back. He may be my ex-boyfriend, but I was still going to miss him. Even better; he was going to miss me too.

Jake's POV

After the dance Cho and I went home. I can't believe she's actually leaving! And she thinks no one will miss her. It's going to be a big loss in my life, though.

I was practicing my drums when my phone rang. I pressed the green button and put it on speakerphone.

"Hello?"

"Jakey pie! Where are you?"

"What the heck are you talking about?"

"The after party! As my boyfriend, you're supposed to be here."

Oops.

"I'm sorry, but I-I'm really, um, busy."

"With what?"

"Oh! Um, uh, recording stuff?"

"Why didn't you say so? I'll tell everyone that my Jakey pie is getting even more famous!"

"Uh, OK! Bye!"

"Bye!"

I threw my phone on the couch. I wasn't planning on going anyway.

Someone pressed the button on my intercom.

"Who is it?"

"Cho!"

"Come in!" I buzzed her in and she ran up to me, embracing me in a full hug.

"Jake! I'm really going to miss you!"

"Hold on, what's wrong? I thought you were leaving next week!"

"My dad is picking me up tomorrow morning! I'm gonna be miserable in Philadelphia without you. You're like, almost the only reason I breathed!"

Cho started wailing. I guess she didn't realize what she just said.

"Wha-what? Only reason you breath?"

Cho stopped and looked at me. Then she kissed my cheek and ran out the room.

Darn. Another getaway.

Armani's POV

You're on the phone with your girlfriend, She's upset

She's going off about something that you said

She doesnt get your humour like I do

I'm in the room, its a typical Tuesday night

I'm listening to the kind of music she doesnt like

And she'll never know your story like I do

But she wears short skirts, I wear t-shirts

She's cheer captain and I'm on the bleachers

Dreaming bout the day when you wake up and find

That what you're lookin for has been here the whole time

If you could see that I'm the one who understands you

Been here all along so why can't you see?

You belong with me

You belong with me

Walkin the streets with you in your worn out jeans

I cant help thinking this is how it ought to be

Laughing on the park bench thinkin to myself

Hey isnt this easy?

And you've got a smile that could light up this whole town

I havent seen it in awhile, since she brought you down

You say you find I know you better than that

Hey, Whatcha doing with a girl like that?

She wears high heels, I wear sneakers

She's cheer captain and I'm on the bleachers

Dreaming bout the day when you wake up and find

That what you're looking for has been here the whole time

If you could see that I'm the one who understands you

Been here all along so why can't you see?

You belong with me

Standin by, waiting at your back door

All this time how could you not know that?

You belong with me

You belong with me

Oh I remember you driving to my house in the middle of the night

I'm the one who makes you laugh when you know you're about to cry

I know your favorite songs and you tell me about your dreams

I think I know where you belong. I think I know it's with me.

Can't you see that I'm the one who understands you?

Been here all along so why can't you see?

You belong with me

Standing by or waiting at your back door

All this time how could you not know that

You belong with me

You belong with me

Have you ever thought just maybe

You belong with me

You belong with me

Jam sighed. I took off my headphones and walked out the booth.

"What's wrong?"

"We're going to have to use a lot of auto tune on that."

"Why?"

"It sounded horrible! Why can't Cho sing this? I mean-"

"You don't freaking understand! Cho can't sing it because I'm solo now. There's no more 'The Chosen Ones'. It's just Cho Zen, Jake Martinez, and Armani Hanover. Not all three."

Jam looked taken aback. I grabbed my bag and stormed out of the recording studio.

Cho's POV

Before it was time for me to leave, I snuck into Jake's room. He was sleeping. I giggled and tiptoed up his stage, and grabbed his red, black, and white mic.

Time for a wake up call.

You know the bed feels warmer

Sleeping here alone

You know I dream in color

And do the things I want

You think you got the best of me

Think you've had the last laugh

Bet you think that everything good is gone

Think you left me broken down

Think that I'd come running back

Baby you don't know me, cause you're dead wrong

What doesn't kill you makes you stronger

Stand a little taller

Doesn't mean I'm lonely when I'm alone

What doesn't kill you makes a fighter

Footsteps even lighter

Doesn't mean I'm over cause you're gone

What doesn't kill you makes you stronger, stronger

Just me, myself and I

What doesn't kill you makes you stronger

Stand a little taller

Doesn't mean I'm lonely when I'm alone

You heard that I was starting over with someone new

They told you I was moving on, over you

You didn't think that I'd come back

I'd come back swinging

You try to break me, but you see

What doesn't kill you makes you stronger

Stand a little taller

Doesn't mean I'm lonely when I'm alone

What doesn't kill you makes a fighter

Footsteps even lighter

Doesn't mean I'm over cause you're gone

What doesn't kill you makes you stronger, stronger

Just me, myself and I

What doesn't kill you makes you stronger

Stand a little taller

Doesn't mean I'm lonely when I'm alone

Thanks to you I got a new thing started

Thanks to you I'm not the broken-hearted

Thanks to you I'm finally thinking about me

You know in the end the day you left was just my beginning

In the end...

What doesn't kill you makes you stronger

Stand a little taller

Doesn't mean I'm lonely when I'm alone

What doesn't kill you makes a fighter

Footsteps even lighter

Doesn't mean I'm over cause you're gone

What doesn't kill you makes you stronger, stronger

Just me, myself and I

What doesn't kill you makes you stronger

Stand a little taller

Doesn't mean I'm lonely when I'm alone

When I'm alone

Jake was wide awake by the time the song was over. I ran off the stage, up to his bed, and kissed his cheek. "Bye! Call me!"

Then I ran out the room and into my dad's waiting limo.
