Bygones Pictures from back then make me recall when you were my first yen; a youthful phase. Now, the years have passed. Here we are, at last, and I stand aghast as I appraise. Time has not been kind. So, it comes to mind that, while love is blind, it’s just a phrase. I find it bruising at my dream loosing. Still, it’s amusing how much time weighs! Notes: An entry for December 15 of "A Poem A Day Contest " [E] Prompt(s) Used: 2 and 3 Prompt 2: Write about a high school reunion. Prompt 3: Write a Cyhydedd Hir. The Cyhydedd Hir (cuh-hée-dedd heer ) is a Welsh poetry form. There are several rhyme schemes and various formats to this poem but for we will use the following: There are two stanzas consisting of 8 lines. The stanzas can be separated into four stanzas if desired.(as example shows) The syllable structure is 5, 5, 5, 4, 5, 5, 5, 4/ 5, 5, 5, 4, 5, 5, 5, 4. The rhyme scheme is a, a, a, B, c, c, c, B / d, d, d, B, e, e, e, B. The four syllable lines carry the main rhyme from the first octave stanza to the next octave stanza.
