About a girl who dies, a sweet temptation given by a friendly blade
Broken glass,
Shattered hearts,
All you see is blood.
A dead white hand,
Ice cold to the touch.
Hair covers the face,
But you fear what you already know,
The hair gives it away.
For once she hears silence,
The silence she’s asked for, begged for.

She said goodbye,
You said you would see her tomorrow,
She said she wouldn’t.
You found her dead,
Her throat slit, her pressure points spurting blood.
In horror you cry out aghast at the scene before you,
A hesitant hand reaches out to touch her covered face,
Hair is gently moved for a clearer view.

Her eyes are open and unseeing,
Her mouth smiling softly,
Her skin ice cold,
Her breath stopped,
Her heart unbeating.
Your worst nightmare has begun,
Time has stopped as you realise the event,
There is no going back, no time-reversal.

Nothing could prepare you,
Not for this, this that freezes your heart and soul,
Your friend,
Your mate,
She’s part of the group,
‘One of the boys’.

Never before has this happened,
So shocked is everyone,
Not a word is said,
Sad looks are shared,
Shocked feelings take over,
None expected this.

Tears are shed,
Word are whispered and lost,
Apologies and condolences made,
Friends grieving,
Classmates weeping,
Enemies cheering,
Family hurting.
Hatred and anger directed at one,
The fool who gave her the weapon.

It was found,
Double edge serrated,
It offered her sweet temptation.
She sees all black,
She feels no pain,
She lives on in THIER hearts and memories.
