about growing up and having confidence
To live is to die
To love is to hate
To tell the truth is to lie
To put all on the line
Though you may never get it back
Live every day as though it’s the last
To rise is to fall
Time goes by as though nothing is wrong
Those you left behind and have forgotten
The life you may never have
It’s not always worth the wait
Will there be someone to catch me if I fall
Or will you just hit the ground
Will the pain turn into happiness?
Would you see me if I smiled
Or just ignore my cries
Should I just put on a mask?
Pretend to be something I’m not
Will you walk away if I fail?
Or look upon me in pity
To beat me down as I stood tall
And laugh as I stood crumbling
What would you do?
If you had no heart to go on
If you though your life had no meaning
Stand tall and be who you are
Even at the cost on being alone
Stand tall
