I AM poetry
I AM

I am old and wrinkled
I wonder how much longer will I linger
I hear music pulsing in the air for wrinkle creams
I want to be free from illness not from the wrinkles
I am old and wrinkled.

I pretend to be young again with a big dream
I feel outburst of energy in my new young heart
I touch the heart with my sluggish arms
I worry my body cannot sync with new heart.
I cry for I know my time has past
I am old and wrinkled.

I understand that all living things has it end
I say aging is the process to that end
I dream of a young girl in the garden afar beyond the rainbow bridge
I try to live a meaningful life till my turn to cross over that rainbow bridge
I hope my wrinkles will stay, for each line of wrinkle there is a story to be told.
I am old and wrinkled.
