This is a poem I wrote about an experience from when I was in a dark place.
She wanted to be alone,
Isolated with her knife.
So no one could hear her moan,
As she desperately escaped her strife.

No thoughts ran through her head,
As leaned against the sink.
She didn't ponder the life she's led,
She didn't even think.

She slowly closed her eyes,
As the blood began to leak.
She faintly heard her sighs,
As she started to grow weak.

She listened to it drip,
A puddle formed on the floor.
Further and further she started to slip,
As she heard a pounding on the door.

She opened her eyes and looked around the room,
Her beat friend was sitting by her bed.
Around her, darkness no longer seed to loom,
She was finally glad she's not dead

If only she had known,
If only she had seen,
She had never been alone,
There was no reason to bleed.
