This is a song I wrote for a Novel I hope to publish sometime soon, please enjoy.
*+*.More Than a Friend In My Eyes.*+*

HER:
When we first met
I was unsure
Thought you were just like everyone else
Since then you have taught me so much
Thank you for being my friend

However, friend
There is something else
But I don't know if it's even worth bringing up
After all, I see the way you smile at those girls
So that's all I have to say, my friend

You are my friend
And nothing more
But that's not the way I want it anymore
We've been through so much I'd think you'd have noticed by now
There's something else deep down inside
You're more than a friend in my eyes

HIM:
You were so different
But look at you now
You've definitely become someone else
Confident, Outgoing, and...Beautiful
You're doing well, my friend

You are my friend
That's all you are
Cause I see the way you look at those guys
We've been through a lot but I'm afraid you still haven't figured it out
There's so much more than meets the eye
You're more than just a friend in my eyes

BOTH:
But if I had a wish in my heart
It would be that that we could be more
And even if my feelings are one-sided
It's better to have you as my friend, than not to have you at all

You are my friend
Until the end (No, far longer)
But that's not the only thing that I want (I want more)
We've been through a lot but I'm afraid you still haven't figured it out
There's something else deep down inside (Definitely something else)
You're more than just my friend in my eyes...
