It's in this moment of sweet, selfish bliss,
Soft grass beneath my feet...
Sandals left to my side...
Sugary sweets indulged beneath the sweet summer sunset
In the fall...

I smile up at the sky...
As blue fades to mystical pink...
Orange...
And a soft shade of ruby red...

My favorite time of night and day...
The single moment of bliss
When one cannot define
Earths inner, nor outer, beauty.

The sweet sunset of fall...
Some say it's cynical to enjoy
The color of beautiful death...
But it's when we die, that we live...

It's in this moment of sweet, selfish bliss,
When day turns to night,
And the sun loses her fight,
When for a moment, bloods no longer shed...

When the sky turns what some call,
An angry, ugly red...
Is when for just a single second in time,
Death ceases to exist.

All the blood of all the deaths,
All the bleeding souls of all the bodies...
Cascade slowly through the sky...
Congratulating the moon on her win.

It's in this brief segment of time,
That chills run down my back,
And when red reflects across my face...
That I see the pure beauty in life.

Laying back in the soft, illuminated grass,
I am floating,
Up into the sunset,
With the souls of those who have bled...

The shining color of red.
