What is love, everyone asks that question.
What is love, everyone asks that question.

Love has a million of roots and shapes and sizes.

To find only one word to describe what love is, is impossible.

Love is the only emotion that can’t be put into words.

Love is blind and its a two sided sword,

Sometimes we hurt ourselves without realizing it.

Family love, friendship so deep that you feel as if they are family.

Love of two souls fated to be together.

Love coming out of pure pity for one perhaps.

Love growing from what was once friendship.

The list goes on, love has millions of reasons.

The wonders of love can’t be deciphered into words.

It can tear one’s world down and set others on fire,

with reason to keep fighting and keep loving.

When we have to fight for what we search for,

sometimes we wish it was much closer in reach.

Much closer for us to find than a thousand miles away.

As long as we believe love exists, there will be someone out there,

holding out a hand to you in your time of need.

Love can take you above the clouds,

it may also drive you down into the solid ground and beyond.

That is the consequence and pain of it.

We only search for one among a million,

who will be the core of what you seek in love.

Only then will you see a meaning in what love is.

Heart warming, heart breaking, heart aching,

resulting in infinite tears results and comes down to a single word.

That painful word is love,

we taste it once in a lifetime,

whether its sweet or bitter, that is for you to decide.

As long as when you raise your head,

all you can see is the hand of kindness, of hope, strength,

caring, waiting for you to grasp it tightly.

To be able to treasure and embrace it in yours that is when,

you realized you found the meaning of love.

Who dares to pick up this two sided sword,

to endure and face the obstacles that lie ahead.

Because the price for true love is never pleasant,

will you be ready to face it all?

What is love?

The eternal question, human species has been asking,

since the dawn of time.

Who can answer it, what is love?
