What the world wants...

What does it take to fit in?
Nothing good, from what I've seen
No one ever wants the real you
They want the plastic smile
Whatever you can fake
That's what they want
The truth is too dark to bear
Problems are uncomfortable
Just paint on your happy face
The world will fall at your feet
Maybe if you pretend enough
Eventually the facade will be real
Keep telling everyone you're fine
Smile and nod
