Some various poetry I have written. Most deal with more darker imagery.
Shipwreck
A solemn body in the heart and mind
When liars are thieves, what’s yours is mine.
When blind men are left to stare at the sun
And the desolate sinner has had his fun.

A siren song that lures to me
Leaves countless bodies below the sea.
A casualty of war, of faith, of trust;
A love that turned my sea to dust.

Take pain and sorrow and flee to the sky
And leave me grounded and broken to die.
Step down my love; you’ve had your fill;
You’ve gotten your hands dirty to kill.

I see the past you hide in your eyes,
The feeling inside is the feeling that dies.
What plight you left for me to taste
Was lost in desperate lovers embrace.

What somber tone does Heaven play,
A tone that ignorant soul could slay.
For hell is where your soul will fall;
Your passions, feelings, fears and all.

Sonnet
A vain attempt at a life, long gone
Loneliness and bitter contempt at hand
Passion and love eternally bland
A feeling and fire too long withdrawn.

What saints care to say as realization unfolds
Olympian mights hold the heavens above
But even demons have the gift of love
What burns bright inside is the fire she holds.

A murderous faith out of spite is the cure
You tell yourself it wasn’t in vain
No such thing as the good and the pure
But it’s hard to ignore such pain
It’s no small feat what the soul can endure
But the mind is the one that goes insane.

Sex
Entangled limbs in darkness felt
Diluted eyes in pleasure’s grasp
Arching back and mouths agape
With pressured grip securely held.

A moan to break the silence veil
A hiss to crack the tattered soul
More to lose and less to gain
But regret is hardly found.

An open wound to freely flow
Leaves sweat and blood to fill the air
Shame and guilt to fill the gap
Broken bodies with laden filth.

A moment of heaven in a life of hell
Leaving room for passionate want
Wanting filled with carnal solace
Disgust overcame by ravenous lust.

Nails dragging down skin like razors
Leaving jagged reminders of frivolous desire
Barren bodies as maddened as the mind
Convulsing to the rhythm of boisterous screams.

Broken
Terror and denial grips a solemn face and humble soul,
leaving shattered and broken minds begging for release.
When time comes and the hand reaches out,
You smile and extend your own, the icy touch a welcomed thought.

A world that left you bare, leaving you scarred in a fragile state;
broken, empty and alone.

Sheltered eyes close to what was once the only sight,
begging you to break free and take flight.
Yet flight is impossible when left chained to what is real.

Still leaving you broken, empty, and alone.

“It’s back again” you cry aloud as you cast your gaze to the ground.
What could be remembered was only forgot.
What could be saved was left to rot,
broken, empty and alone.

It’s all too easy but just as hard,
to take what’s left and run away to the sound of broken hearts.
Such wings burst forth and leave the ground to greet the welcomed sky,
open arms like gates left for you to pass.
And just as you reach out to hold what’s yours,
cold hands pull you down.
wings dissolve into broken hopes and dreams of what could have been.
Eternal black is drawing near, begging to be your home;
and in your weakness you stepped inside,
leaving all hope behind, left with nothing but to be broken, empty…
Alone.

Villanelle
A Barren land and shattered ground
What once was alive is now broken and dead
Where nothing is left to be found

Where once was music, there isn’t a sound
Where once was waters, no tear is shed
A barren land and shattered ground

Where once was strength, now left unsound
Only ghosts are left to tread
Where nothing is left to be found

Where once was clean, now waste abound
Where once was bliss, now only dread
A barren land and shattered ground

Where once was joy and hope profound
Death and disorder are left instead
Where nothing is left to be found

There is no longer hope of rebound
The world has cracked, wept and bled
A barren land and shattered ground
Where nothing is left to be found.

Roses Are Blue

Roses are red, violets are blue
Sugar is sweet, and so are you.
Bitter is bad and tasty is true
Sugar is bad, and so are you.
Violets are red, roses are blue
As to why I haven’t a clue.
Sugar is death and nothing new
To let my screams in you imbue.
Sugar is cream with crimson hue
Sugar is bitter and so are you.
Roses and violets are too few
Sugar is red and so are you.
Plain regrets are stuck like glue
Violets are blue and so are you.
You can be mean and I can too
I can be sad and so can you.
Roses are dead and violets are too
I am dead and so are you.

Escape

The walls are closing in
You’re going to be trapped
kick up your pace!

run, run; RUN!
It’s closing fast!
You’re not going to make it!

Why are you idling?
You’re not going fast enough!
Do you want to die?

Can’t you see what’s happening?
Can’t you push yourself more?
Can’t you see the end?

You can’t stop now
It’s almost within sight
It’s only a little further!

You can’t trip now
You can’t stumble once
You’re losing your pace

Its breath is on your neck
Its teeth are in your veins
Its bite is sinking in

You can do this
I know you can do this
I pray you can do this

I believe in you
I have faith in you
I love you

You have to go faster
You have to be strong!
You can’t give up

You’re slowing down
The door is closing!
Are you accepting death?

You’re pathetic
You’re weak
You break my heart

You’re not worthy
You never were
You’re useless

The light is beginning to fade
Is there nothing left in you?
Do you resign so easily?

You’re time is almost up
It’s impossible now
You’re finished.

Fett's Folly

He sits, green mask and wear, on my computer desk.
What might he think behind that blackened visor?
With gun in hand, is he plotting his next bounty?
Or is he staring out the window at the blowing snow
anxious to move his legs and feel the breeze outside?
It doesn’t snow in space
might he feel lonely?
Is bounty-hunting what he really desires?
Or is it taking off his stuffy mask
and taking a breath of natural air
laying his gun aside and stepping in the snow
feeling the ice crystals melt between his toes?
He casts his gaze to the sky into space;
does he miss it?
Does the sound of the hyperspace engine roaring through space
compare to the silent patter of snowflakes
and the gentle wind blowing through the trees?
He continues to stare out my window
into the increasing thicket of snowfall.
I can picture him standing in the flurry
holding his blaster to his side
his veiled face lifting up once more.
He then looks down at the ground, shaking his head
As he turns and ascends the ramp of Slave I
and returns to the eternal sea of stars.

Valkyrie

Sound of blade on blade rang throughout the purlieu
Missiles hailing from the sky, boring through flesh and earth
Shrieks of the dying echoing amongst the chaos of strife
The dead already receiving their providence from Hel
When thunderous blast from the welkin burst fourth
And from the parted mist strode heavenly steed
Baring fair-haired Valkyrie, glistening spear in hand
Winged helm drawing lightning fourth from the clouds.
“Stille!” she roared, and all fell silent throughout the field
Dropping their arms and bows to the boisterous proclamation
Hoof struck earth and maiden dismounted with divine purpose
Surveying the battlefield drenched in mortal blood
To the invading brigade she pointed spear and moved to shout aloud
“Seierherrene!” in deepened voice exclaimed
Then to the other she narrowed her eyes with menacing scowl
Lowering their heads in defeat they dragged their feet back home
“Stativ! Følg meg til Valhala!” she screamed to the field of dead
And at once they arose to her command.
All limped fourth to their fates but none would cry in woe
Valhalla awaited and so did their turn in the world to come
For Ragnarök was soon to be and so to was man’s fate.
