Soul Mates |
I know you very well. It surprises me How close you stand to my heart. I have not met you, I have not seen you, I have not heard you speak, But I have never had to, To know that you are mine. You always could read me better than anyone, And I know that even now, Even when I have never met you. I'm not quite sure I can understand how you do it, How you captivate my heart without a single idea of knowing who you are. You were and are a mystery to me. Here you are knowing the secrets of my soul, But your face, Your body, Your mind, Your everything, A secret. Each a little mystery I have yet to solve. But your heart? That I've always known, Always seen. I never had to look far Fore it has always been in my own. I have not met you, I have not seen you, I have not heard you speak, But I have never had to, To know that you are mine. In each place I look You are no where to be found, But I know where you are not now Are places you'll be when you are with me. I will look until my loving hearts beats one last time But in the end it is you who must find me. You must remember, That in every fairytale The hero always falls in love with an unexpected girl, A girl he never realized was his everything, A girl who always had his heart He just never knew it. You are my mystery, My love, My knight in shining armor, My something I have yet to find. They say everyone has a soul mate, Someone they do not know until they meet And they're hearts connect. To know your soul mate, Before you even know who you truly are is A legend, A fairytale A mystery, An adventure. In a world of many things, You are out there, Waiting for me Just as I am waiting for you, But in a world where Fairytales are make believe And soul mates are just found in stories, I am shamed upon for looking, But I won't settle. I know that stories aren't just written in words, They're played out in life, And make believe isn't just for the young, But for the ones who truly believe. I have not met you, I have not seen you, I have not heard you speak, But I have never had to, To know that you are mine. |
