My crazy thoughts this morning.
Should I say how many times I've posted work on the internet? Well, guess it's truthful to say more than five different sites over the span of ten years. For me, writing is a hobby. I enjoy it now and get scared when thinking about going that extra step toward getting something published. Publishing means hard work, deadlines, meeting people, making money. I'm good at absolutely none of these.

This is just another space, for now, to toss my work so I feel like I'm doing all this work for nothing. So much of it has piled up over the years. I've got thick notebooks filled with typed pages, 3.5 floppy disks, CD-RWs, thumb drives....and those bits of imagination always circling around in my head.

What I'm afraid of is that I'll lose everything one day. All this work and no one to read it scares me. Sure, there's lots of people out there like me. I'm no better or more deserving of success as a writer than anyone else. So what'll I do? Keep writing, sketching out the scenes, listening to my stories on a text-to-speech program as though I'm really working toward that goal of getting published. Well actually, that is what I'm doing, just can't seem to admit to the truth yet.
