Hmmm...A Single Mother of Two

Why do sometimes I feel as thou

I should have married my ex just cause I can say so

“I’m a divorce mother of two”

In oppose to “A single mother of two”

I feel as thou I’m judged

With every flick of the tongue

He says “I respect single moms”

But those words… Why bring it up at all?’

Is that truly how you feel

Or do you look at me as temporary feel.

She has too much baggage

Is she marriage material?

And did her ex respect enough marry her.

Two kids no husband is a blessing and a burden

Came close… had the ring, marriage license and such

But halted my steps

Is this what I want?

Will I be happy?

No doubt I would be divorce by now

But I would have had that title

Divorce with two kids… would it… does it make a difference

In how others perceive me

Or is it how I perceive myself

A single mother of two

Thinking … I made my decision and did what I had to do
