~Chapter 3 : Vampire vs Vampire? The Battle of Hi-Daylight Walkers!!!~

The battle between Takusa and Evan is going to take place. It's a battle in mid-air, where they battle in certain distance to avoid hitting the others.
    Takusa is preparing barrier for the others, and giving something to Asuna.

Asuna      : What's this?
Takusa    : A magic ring. I heard that you had a Complete Magic Canceller
                  Ability, right? This ring will extend the range of cancelling
                  abilities.
Negi        : Is it okay to use it?
Takusa    : What do you mean?
Konoka    : Someone using a similar thing on Asuna back before Mahora
                  Festival, and everytime it absorb magic, Asuna will get hurt.
Takusa    : It the tool perhaps a pendant?
Setsuna    : Yeah.
Takusa    : Pendant...I had see one of those things. It was use generally to
                  extend magic barrier, but it will hurt your body when you use it.
                  This one is upgrade version of it, where it only drain some of
                  user's stamina.
Asuna      : Can I keep this?
Takusa    : Sorry, that's no-no. This magic tool are meant to be solo use.
Negi        : Solo use?
Takusa    : Let's say Asuna wear this ring. It will cancel all magic attempts
                  around her, but it will effect your allies as well. Unless you're
                  lone fighter, this thing will give less chances in battle.
Asuna      : Then, why you give me this?
Takusa      : My battle with Evan is going to be really nasty. In case the
                  barrier that I put broken, I want you to wear this ring so magic
                  that comes this way vaporized.
Negi        : I can help too, you know...
Takusa      : I know. That's why this ring will be the last resort if you're
                  out of option.

Takusa is looking up, as Evan and Chachamaru already set up for battle. He's  smiling before taking a bow. Everyone thinks that he will use floating magic to go up, but something is not right. He holds his arms together, where that behavior is only common
to one person.

Setsuna    : Wait, don't tell me...

No need to tell. A pair of white wings grows from his back.

Haruna    : (stunned)Wings?!!!
Takusa    : Didn't I tell you before, I got mixture blood with bird tribe,
                  just like Setsuna-sama?

He flew up where Evan and Chachamaru are.

Setsuna        : ...sama?
Konaka      : Sec-chan, why did he call you Setsuna-sama?
Setsuna      : Beats me...
Chachazero : I guess that's just how he is...
Negi            : Chachazero-san, you're not helping Master?
Chachazero : I'm just being burden if I get involved.
Yue            : (thinking)Chachazero, who is he?
Asuna          : He seems really close with Evan...
Haruna        : Are they lovers? Are they?
Chachazero : (looking up)Lovers? That, even I can't tell...
Kaede          : Then, what's their relationship?
Chachazero : How should I put it...he is Evan-sama's teacher.
Setsuna        : (stunned)He is Evan's master?
Chachazero : Yes. There's no term 'self-teach', even for Master.
All              : (loud)Eh?!!!!!!
Ku-Fei        : So...so...how strong is he? He should be stronger then Evan,
                      since he's the one who teaching Evan...
Yue              : (check Sekai Zue)I been doing some research myself, but I can't
                      get more data...
Chachazero  : That's because you put the wrong entry.
Yue              : Hmm?
Chachazero  : Search about Eagle von Dracula. You should find something.
Nodoka        : 'Dracula'? He's descendant of Dracula clan?
Chachazero  : Direct descendant. He got vampire traits directly from his
                      bloodline.

Everybody's looking at Yue as she doing research.

Yue              : (stunned)This...this is amazing!!!!
Negi            : Yue-san?
Yue              : Where to start...(scratch head)400 years ago, there's an era
                      where vampires terrorizing the world. They were lead by head
                      of Dracula clan, Victor von Dracula. This is 1st appearance
                      of vampire in the world. After years of terrorizing, Takusa-san
                      comes out to beat Victor and he manage to win because Dracula
                      clan never figures about learning magic. From there onwards,
                      they called him 'Undying Mage'.
Asuna          : 'Undying Mage'? Isn't that Evan's nickname?
Chachazero  : Master got that title 300 years ago when Master create an army
                      of marionettes and start a war. Some people know that Master is
                      Takusa-sama's student, so it kind got heritaged.
Yue              : That's not all. During the Mage War 20 years ago, he gets
                        involved as independent one-man army, and beat anyone who
                      considered to be enemy. He's not killing anyone though, and
                      that amazed even Ala Rubra as we speak.
Negi            : Ala Rubra? He didn't join it?
Yue              : No. He got his own group instead, where he collects strongest
                      mage from Magic World. They are callled the Hi-Daylight Walkers.
Setsuna        : (stunned)He is founder of Hi-Daylight Walkers ?!!!
Konoka        : Negi, what is the Hi-Daylight Walkers?
Negi            : (serious)The Hi-Daylight Walker is a term...to address the most
                      powerful mage in existance. I thought that term already exist
                      way before then...
Yue              : 20 years ago, Hi-Daylight Walker is what they are called. This
                      group works for no one, even though some of them are under
                      country or empire. They didn't take credit as a group, but
                      rather as individual. After the war, people slowly forget who
                      they are, and that term has been used to describe any strong
                      mage in existance.
Asuna          : Then, he should be the offical leader of Hi-Daylight Walker?
Chachazero : That's what they call him. Even so, his magic level are way above
                      the Hi-Daylight Walker, where there's no end on how far he can
                      use his magic. Adds more, the group is only a name because the
                      action they take are individual.
Kaede          : Then, why Takusa-dono is here?
Chachazero : I don't know myself...

They looking up, as battle of teacher-student are going live above them. Evan is launching infinite counts of Ice Arrows as Chachamaru approach Takusa in close
combat. With thousand attacks coming on him, Takusa seems really calm.

Takusa        : It's all out, huh...(blocking Chachamaru's punch)
Evan          : (chanting)Of course, because all this years, I know I still can't
                      beat you, Takusa-sama...
Takusa        : Out of all people, you still look down on yourself when fighting
                    me?(laughing)
Chachamaru : You're open, Takusa-sama...(punching Takusa's forehead)
Takusa          : So, you're a robot?
Chachamaru : A gynoid. Even though I'm created using the power of science, I
                      got my energy source from magic.
Takusa          : I see. What happen if you receive an electric shock?
Chachamaru : I got paralyzed for a while, but I will recovered within seconds.
Takusa          : That would be enough...Dios Turbos!!!

An electric magic attack hits Chachamaru, where it makes her stunned for a while. Takusa taking the chance to go to Evan, just to have Evan finishing her spell.

Evan      : You're underestimated me, Takusa-sama...

Evan calls out Snowfall to hit Takusa.

Takusa    : Not bad... Barriers up!!!

Mist are everywhere as Snowfall covered Takusa. Everyone is nervous, waiting to see what happen to him. Even Negi and Kotaro are shaking. That's because the battle here makes Evan looks not serious when train them, where they thought Evan's all out.
    Mist are starting to vapourized. Takusa slowly emerges within the mist, with his Ice Barrier around them.

Takusa    : Evan-chan, how many elements did you master already?
Evan        : 3. Ice, Thunder and Dark.
Takusa      : That's good to hear, but you should master more.
Evan        : 3 is enough for a battle...(chanting)

Evan start her chanting again, as Chachamaru keeps pounding Takusa. Negi who hearing Evan's chanting...

Negi      : (shocked)That's....

Takusa didn't see it coming. As throwing her attack, Takusa just manage to pull out his barriers.

Negi      : That's Thousand Bolts!!!
Asuna    : Thousand Bolts?
Yue        : (checking Sekai Zue)Thousand Bolts is the largest scale attack
                in thunder-class magic.
Kotaro    : Evan's already master 2 elements of magic? That's insane even
                  for her!!!
Negi        : Wait, she knows dark-class magic too...that means she already
                  master 3 elements!!!

Thunder disappear from the sky, as Takusa standing with Thunder Barrier around him.

Takusa    : You're not using Dark Magic?
Evan        : The penalty is too much to bear in my condition.
Takusa    : Then, I should finish this battle...

Unexpectedly, Takusa is chanting when he's being hit with 2 of the strongest magic in element series. Right now, he's snapping his finger and it's all out. It's the strongest fire magic, Oupavia Ploywais.

Negi        : Fire magic!!!?
Kotaro    : It's only a fire magic. What wrong?
Negi        : You see, when a mage learns elemental class magic, he can only
                  learn several elements because some of the elements are opposite
                  to each other.
Kotaro    : I see... wait a minute. He's just pull out Ice Barrier. How on
                  earth he can pull out fire magic if he already knows ice magic?
Negi        : I didn't get it either...

Chachamaru tried to block the magic, which Takusa already expected. Takusa activates another barrier, not on himself, but on Chachamaru.

Negi        : Now, what on earth is he doing?
Kotaro    : He activate a fire barrier on Chachamaru. That's only give
                  advantage to Chachamaru, right?

Indeed, it gives advantage to Chachamaru. Even so, Takusa has more plans. He moves his fire magic on the barriers. Not just it pass on Chachamaru, but it makes the power of fire magic goes double. Evan unexepectely receive an attack that should means only half of the power.

Negi            : So amazing...
Chachazero : There it goes...
Kotaro        : What happen? What happen?
Chachazero : Negi, explain.
Negi            : (silence)...he use the barriers on Chachamaru as conductor to
                      channel his magic. Instead of absorbing it, the barrier acts like
                      reflection, which makes the power goes doubled.
Setsuna      : Good thinking...

Evan is flying down to the ground. Chachamaru wants to catch her, but Takusa's already ahead.

Evan          : (laughing)I lost...
Takusa        : Don't worry. At least you're on my expectations.

It's already evening when the battle ends. They can't get out from Evan's Rest House since it's not pass 24 hours yet, so they get some training until dark and spend the night there.
    Next morning, Setsuna's up first, or at least that's what she thought. After washing her face, she look outside and saw Takusa already sitting on the edge of the ground.

Setsuna    : Good morning, Takusa-san.
Takusa    : (turn face)Ah, morning, Setsuna-sama.
Setsuna    : (take a seat)...mind if I ask you one thing?
Takusa    : What is it?
Setsuna    : (blush)...why you call me 'Setsuna-sama'?
Takusa    : Can't I?
Setsuna    : No...it's just...
Takusa    : (Laughing)You see, my mother is a half breed bird tribe, just
                  like you. I travel with my mother around the world after we're
                  being abandoned, and I already see how hard my mother tried to
                  survive in this world.
Setsuna    : Is she still alive?
Takusa    : Nope. She has more human traits on her, so she only had 80 years
                  lifespan. Even so, she always smile. Even when she dying, she
                  still try to hide her painful feelings to me.
Setsuna    : I see...
Takusa    : That goes to you also. I know people like us carries misfortune
                  on our shoulders, especially for the one who so young like you.
                  But, you're always smile on others, which is something that I
                  really respect about.
Setsuna    : Wait...how do you know that I'm from the Bird Tribe?
Takusa    : I can sense it. You can sense me too, are you?
Setsuna    : Come to think of it, our tribe can sense each other. Maybe my
                  sense is still not matured enough...

Setsuna is smiling.

Takusa    : What is it?
Setsuna    : You're totally different from Evan. Evan likely despise the way
                  of my life now, but here you're, respecting the way of my life.
Takusa    : Did she tell about her 300 year old life story?
Setsuna    : Some of it.
Takusa    : Well, let me tell you this. Unlike us who born this way, she
                  spent at least 10 years of her life being a normal human. Of
                  course, she will curse fate of making her that. Even I can't
                  change her view.
Setsuna    : You're right...
Takusa    : Maybe if she had someone to protect...
Setsuna    : Yeah, someone to protect...
Takusa    : (grining)You like her, don't you?
Setsuna    : (blush)...who?
Konoka    : (from resthouse)Sec-chan, Takusa-kun, breakfast is ready!!!
Takusa    : (pointing)There.
Setsuna    : (blush)That's...
Takusa    : (standing)Either way, protect her all you can(smiling)

Takusa’s walking away, leaving Setsuna clueless.

Next on chapter 4 : Takusa will 'attack' school with countless of talent, even making
                            our hyper-active girls, Fuka, Fumika and Yuna amazed!!!!
