A poem about what the wind might actually be thinking on a cool autumn day...
The wind sings in its turnings, while trees sway in the wind.
Water rushes down a fall, the tree of knowledge sins.
Birds of Prey and birds of song mind their solemn ways.
The sun and moon trade solar shifts counting out the days.

But what of human nature to contribute to this plan,
It seems that though unlike the birds, are bound on holy land.
Of many different places, and many different walks
It seems that though unlike the wind our singings not what talks.

As some of us are black as charcoal, and others white as paste
Our tendencies for judgment often leave us in haste.

Would you really judge a friend on the color of his skin?
Or would you judge a holy man on his tendencies for sin.
I guess the simple answer is, that nothing can be done,
But would you judge a lady on the actions of her son.

The world is black and white, contrary to popular belief,
The gray is nonexistent, like the stems of a leaf.
Sure they give it protein, and nurture it to health,
Its roots are often noted as a symbol of its wealth.

I ask just take a moment, and simplify the gray
You’ll find that all life’s problems, seem to melt away.
Just take out all the bad, you’ll find a way to cope,
As in life there are rugged ridges and some steady slopes.

The eyes of but a mortal say, are really not that wise,
None of us can get a glimpse, the ever ending stride.
The blind are often trodden, they don’t see what we’ve beloved
The black and white devoid of gray, is a world that their above.

So take a hint from those who lack
As many can’t relay,
The wind sings in its turnings
This is all it has to say.
